Who founded Black Creek Group?
Black Creek Group was founded by Jordan Nott and Nicholas Francis, two entrepreneurs with more than 20 years of experience building and scaling businesses across multiple sectors. They launched Black Creek Group to bring that same operating mindset to real estate development, with a focus on markets where purposeful development can make a genuine difference.
How involved are the founders in day-to-day operations?
Jordan Nott and Nicholas Francis are directly involved at every stage of every project Black Creek Group takes on. From site selection and approvals through to design coordination and delivery, they are hands-on participants, not passive overseers. That direct involvement is one of the things that sets our company apart from larger development firms.
What experience does the Black Creek Group team bring to real estate development?
Our team combines cross-sector operating experience, deep knowledge of Canadian real estate markets, and hands-on expertise across acquisitions, approvals, sales, marketing, and project delivery. That mix of backgrounds means every project benefits from perspectives that go beyond traditional real estate thinking.
What makes Black Creek Group a founder-led company in practice?
At Black Creek Group, founder-led means the people who built the company are still the ones making the decisions. Jordan and Nicholas are present at every meaningful stage of every project, which means accountability is never delegated and the standards the company was built on are maintained consistently across everything Black Creek Group does.
How does Black Creek Group approach growing its team and partnerships?
Black Creek Group grows deliberately, bringing in people and partners who share the same standards and commitment to quality that the company was founded on. Every addition to the team, whether internal or external, is evaluated on their ability to contribute meaningfully to the work and uphold the way Black Creek Group operates.
